I don't usually shoot family portraits, but this fall I'm making an exception - exclusively for my past wedding clients! For just two days you'll have the opportunity to sign up for my mini sessions and capture a few quick updated photos. I've got a few things in store to make them extra awesome too! Here's the details:
Why should I have a Mini Session?
Most people use mini sessions to get a great photo for those holiday cards you want to send out. If you're not into sending cards, you can always just use this as a chance to snuggle up to the one you love and treat it as a mini anniversary photo session to remember why you fell in love in the first place! Or maybe your "two" has become a "three" (or more)! If you've started a family or grown your family since I last saw you, then let's get some new family photos done!
When will they be?
You'll have the choice of dates - either Saturday, October 24 or Saturday, November 7. Due to the nature of mini sessions, the dates cannot be changed unless we have to reschedule due to rain.
How long will they be?
Each mini session is 20 minutes.
Where will they be?
All mini sessions will be at my farm, 48 Fields, in Leesburg VA. Due to the nature of mini sessions, the location cannot be changed.
Why will they be extra awesome?
Hopefully you know by now that I like to add some personal touches and thoughtfulness to the way I do things. So I'll be working with an event designer to come up with a few holiday and fall-themed decor set pieces to add to your photos. I'll also have a welcome area set up inside our barn where you can check in, have some light refreshments, mingle with anyone else who might be around, and get a small token of my thanks for coming out! (I'll be hanging out after the last session of the day to chat more with whoever is around then too!) I'm also working to partner with a custom stationery designer to come up with a one-of-a-kind holiday card that you can order. Because it's being commissioned exclusively for my clients, you'll know that no one else will have the same card this year!
Ok, that sounds pretty cool but how much does it cost and what will I get?
Mini sessions are $150. You'll receive a 20-minute photo session with me along with an online viewing gallery where you'll be able to select two high resolution digital photo files to have. Additional digital photos will be available to purchase from the viewing gallery, along with other items such as holiday cards, canvas wraps, etc. should you choose. We'll have light refreshments on hand along with a small thank you gift.
What is the turnaround time?
Photos from your mini session will be posted to a viewing gallery within one week of your session date. As soon as you select the photo(s) you'd like, I'll set them to be available for instant download. If you decide to order holiday cards through me, it will take about 10 business days to receive the order after you approve the final look. Otherwise, if you order cards on your own, you'll have the downloaded file to order whenever you'd like. The timing of these mini sessions should be ideal to get those cards mailed out!
Is there any Fine Print I should know about?
Photo selections and any other orders from your viewing gallery must take place within 30 days of notice that the gallery is ready. After that time, photos will be archived and there is a fee to reactivate it.
